Ingredients homeade red velvet cake

2 eggs
2 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cup Sugar
2 cup vegetable oil
3 tbsp cocoa
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3 tbsp red food coloring
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp vanilla extract
icing
1 box 10x Powdered sugar
1 stick butter
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup chopped pecans

how to make homeade red velvet cake


Grease and lightly flour 2 8x2inch pans or line 2 12 cup muffin pans with cupcake liners.


Preheat oven to 350°


Mix food coloring and cocoa together. Add vinegar stir and set to side


Sift flour,salt,and soda together and set to side.


Cream Sugar and Oil. Add eggs one at a time


Add food coloring mixture to egg mixture and mix well


Alternately add flour mixture and butter milk to egg mixture and mix well


Add vanilla extract mix well


Pour bake into baking pans and bake on center rack for 25-30 minutes (20-25 for cupcakes)


Allow to completely cool before icing


Mix cream chesse butter and powdered sugar until smooth add pecans
