Ingredients homemade enchilada sauce
1 chopped onion
1 tbsp Minced garlic
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp oregano
2 tbsp chili powder. (can add up to 4 based on your taste! )
2 cup chicken broth
8 oz Tomato sauce
1 tbsp tomato paste

how to make homemade enchilada sauce
Heat sauce pan on stove on medium. Drizzle olive oil as needed.
Add onion. Sauté until soft and translucent. (About 3-5 minutes )
Add minced garlic and seasonings. Sauté for about a minute longer.
Add in chicken broth, tomato sauce, and tomato paste. Mix well.
When it comes to a boil, lower heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until thickened.
