Ingredients instant oatmeal cookies
6 envelope Instant Oatmeal (any flavor)
1 cup Flour
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 cup (one stick) Butter softened
1 Egg
2 tbsp Applesauce

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Mix softened butter, egg, sugar, and applesauce in mixing bowl with a mixing spoon.
Fold in flour and oatmeal packets.
You can add a half cup of chopped walnuts, dried cranberries, raisins, etc. if you'd like.
Place spoon fulls of cookie dough about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Smash dough balls into cookie shape. Dough will be sticky. If your hands are wet, it will be easier to work with.
Bake about 10 - 15 minutes or until brown.
Let cool on cookie tray. Cookies should be fairly easy to remove after cooling with a flat spatula.
